Product Description Powerful. When is the last time someone used that word to describe you? It doesn't make sense that Almighty God would have children characterized by fear and insecurity. He put His Spirit in us so we could be known for our power (Acts 1:8; 2 Tim. 1:7). Sadly, most believers and churches are known for talent or intellect rather than supernatural power. What's worse is that we're okay with it. Could it be that we've forgotten the One who distinguishes us from every religion and cult in the world? Through solid scriptural support and compelling narrative, breakthrough author Francis Chan returns us to the Holy Spirit as the Bible describes Him. He reminds us that we were not created and saved merely to survive our time on earth. Chan contends that we've ignored the Spirit and are reaping the disastrous results. It's time for the beloved church of Jesus Christ to reverse the trend of neglect. Let's pursue the Spirit-filled life of effectiveness.

Even Better than Crazy Love! September 1, 2010 Josie (California) So far, lovin this book. Very convicting. It's helping me to remember the gift of the Holy Spirit and to be in tune to God's leading. A quick, easy to read and understand book for any level of faith. I highly recommend.
Bringing Out the Importance of the Holy Spirit in Our Relationship with God August 31, 2010 R. Stanton (Sunshine State of Florida, USA) Francis Chan's book Forgotten God seeks not to define the Holy Spirit as doctrine, more so his goal was to expose how much we tend to neglect something we don't understand or realize the importance of in our lives. It made me realize how much I've regretfully neglected the Holy Spirit in my own life. It's grieving, and yet the purpose is to encourage each of us to seek Him, the Holy Spirit, out and embrace Him in our daily lives.
If the subject of the Holy Spirit seems a mystery to you, Forgotten God will not give you all the answers, but it will stir you into action. Francis Chan shares scriptures to encourage you to seek Him out and accept Him into your daily living. Chan also shares insights into lives of people who have been greatly affected by the Holy Spirit daily - and it's humbling!
Don't live in ignorance to the Holy Spirit. Read this book, read the scriptures. Learn more about the precious gift of the Holy Spirit and how greatly our spiritual lives can be impacted by Him.
Forgotten Book is easy to read, but the subject matter is provoking. You may find yourself putting the book down just to contemplate what you just read. Or cry. Or pray.
Many of my family members have been touched by this book and appreciate its message, including myself. Five stars!
Great book August 27, 2010 Jonathan Chang This was the first book I read for my 2010 "read 1 book a month" new year's resolution. Francis Chan is a really good writer. Most of the stuff, he's already talked about on his podcast but it's always good to be reminded of the stuff again. It helped me understand the Holy Spirit not as an "it" but as God.
Not to be forgotten August 21, 2010 MCR Jones (Oklahoma City, OK) This book is a must read for any Christian who is looking to deepen their relationship with the Trinity, particularly the Holy Spirit. Francis Chan does a remarkable job of describing the Spirit's role in our prayer life, our day to day living and in the understanding of our walk with God. It is not a difficult read, but one you will want to reread time and again. I have used it to conduct a Bible Study to the benefit of all. I would highly recommend it.
Awesome read on the H.S. August 9, 2010 Rudolph Cassol Chan was on the money with how we overlook the Holy Spirit in our daily lives..it starts out slow, but he pulls it all together in the end.
